Anobha has over fifteen years of experience working in low income countries with the goal of improving research, policies, and actions to promote environment and health. She has a proven track record of successfully leading program development, strategy, management, and coordination. Anobha’s programmatic work is complemented by her strong research background in energy, air pollution, and health.
Before joining the Global Methane Hub, Anobha served as the director of the Nepal Program at the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA). Here she provided leadership, strategic and operational direction, and technical expertise for all of CCA’s programmatic work in Nepal, working closely with the Government of Nepal. Previously, Anobha also worked for organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in various sectors (air pollution, climate change, and human health) in developing countries to (1) lead the design and implementation of research projects, (2) direct/contribute to the development of strategies, guidelines, and management plans, and (3) develop and implement training and capacity building activities.
Anobha holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Health from Yale School of the Environment.
